Personal:

Cody was born and raised in Austin, Texas. After receiving a degree in finance from Texas A&M, he worked at a brokerage firm in Austin. He then chose to pursue a legal career and attended Baylor Law School. At Baylor, he served as an editor on the Baylor Law Review and as a student volunteer in Baylor’s Bankruptcy Clinic. The bankruptcy clinic partnered local attorneys with students to prepare pleadings and other forms for Chapter 7 bankruptcies for low-income individuals.

Before graduating in May 2020, Cody took the Texas Bar Exam in February and was admitted to practice law in Texas shortly after graduation. After graduation, he practiced business and real estate law, including both transactions and litigation, in Austin before moving to Houston.

In his spare time, he enjoys watching sports, listening to music, and playing guitar, drums, and piano.
